This casserole is so tasty and creamy it goes well with any Spicy main dish you want to fix it with. Try it with my Fiesta Steak. I grew up feasting on hominy in allot of my Grandmother's cooking.Hope you'll give it a go! Read more ! Ingredients:
1 medium white onion, chopped |
1 clove garlic, minced |
1 tbs cooking oil |
1 cup sour cream |
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese |
1/4 cup milk |
4 oz can chopped green chiles |
1/4 tsp ground cumin |
29 oz can mexican style hominy, drained |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°. 2. In a small skillet, cook onion and garlic in oil until tender. 3. Remove from heat. 4. In a medium bowl, combine onion mixture, sour cream, half of the cheese, milk, chiles and cumin. 5. Add hominy and mix well. 6. Pour into a greased 2-quart baking dish. 7. Bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes or until heated through. 8. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top and put back in hot oven for 1 to 2 minutes. 9. Remove from oven and serve immediately. |
