Mexican Chipotle Marinade

Great for marinating chicken or pork. Packs a punch!
Ingredients:
6 canned chipotle chiles in adobo
2 tablespoons adobo sauce
5 garlic cloves, sliced
1 piece orange zest, 3 inches long
3/4 cup orange juice
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon tomato puree
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
Directions:
1. In a small saucepan, combine the chipotles and their sauce with the rest of the ingredients.
2. Simmer over high heat until reduced by one third,about 3 minutes.
3. Transfer contents of the pan to a blender.
4. Puree until smooth.
5. Note:Marinate chicken or pork for 2 hours in 1/4 of the marinade.
6. Grill pork chops or chicken.
7. Serve with the leftover sauce.
