Mexican Beans In The Crock Pot |

Incredible incredible incredible. This recipe comes from my sister in law who is a dynamic cook. We love these and hope you do too. Ingredients:
1 pound dried pinto beans |
spice mix |
1/2 cup cumin |
1/2 cup chili powder |
4 tablespoons salt |
1-1/2 cup dried minced garlic |
4 tablespoons freshly ground black pepper |
1-1/2 cup dried minced onions |
Directions:
1. Combine all spice mix ingredients and store all but 3 tablespoons in an airtight jar. 2. Rinse and sort beans. 3. Soak in 4 cup waters overnight. 4. Pour soaked beans in crock pot with 2 cup fresh water and 3 tablespoons of the mix. 5. Cook until tender. 6. Before serving add 2 teaspoons salt and 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper. |
