A colorful, fun, flavorful and Hearty 7 layer dip. Great for a mexican themed party. Receipe was from a family friend and is always really enjoyed at parties! Ingredients:
1 can frito bean dip |
2 avocadoes, mashed and whipped |
1 can black chopped ripe olives |
2 bunches green onions, chopped |
1 large tomato, seeded and diced |
1 8-oz pkg sour cream – use this to cover and seal the prior ingredients |
10 oz grated cheddar cheese |
1 tsp extra virgin olive oil |
Directions:
1. Use a Flat, large round or rectangular serving tray/platter. 2. Lightly brush platter with Olive oil to provide easier removal of dip 3. Use a spatula to spread your ingredients in order listed above. 4. First, spread bean dip to cover entire platter 5. Next, the whipped avacadoes 6. Sprinkle on the black chopped olives - save about 1 tablespoon for decoration on top. 7. Sprinkle on the chopped green onions 8. Then add your chopped tomato (I usually chop them and drain them well to avoid a watery dip). 9. Scoop out the sour cream to form a flat white finish - smooth on gently. 10. Smother with Cheddar Cheese 11. Decorate with a few green onion tops, olives and tomatoes. 12. Serve with Tortilla chips |
