Ingredients:
2 quarts apple cider |
20 whole cloves |
1/2 cup white sugar |
12 cinnamon sticks (4 inch) |
14 whole allspice |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 lemon, sliced thin |
Directions:
1. Place the cider in a large pot. 2. Place the cloves and allspice in a cheesecloth spice bag. 3. Add the spice bag, sugar and salt to the cider and bring to a boil. 4. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. 5. Remove spice bag. 6. Pour Mulled Cider into 12 mugs, adding one cinnamon stick and one slice lemon to each. 7. Serve hot. |
