In this recipe for Royal Icing, the meringue powder replaces egg whites. Great for assembling gingerbread houses, cookie trains, cookie cottages, any edible food project. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons meringue powder |
1/4 cup water |
2 1/3 cups icing sugar |
Directions:
1. In bowl, beat meringue powder with water until combined. 2. Gradually beat in icing sugar til very stiff, about 4 minutes. 3. Cover with damp cloth to prevent drying out. |
