This recipe goes with Chocolate Angel Pie Ingredients:
2 egg whites |
1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. Beat egg whites (at room temperature), cream of tartar, and salt until foamy. Gradually add sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, beating until stiff peaks form. Fold in pecans and vanilla. Spread meringue over bottom and sides of a greased 9-inch pie plate to form a pie shell. Bake at 275° for 50 to 55 minutes. Cool. |
