These cookies really do melt in your mouth, and they're just as good without the pecans if you don't have them to hand. Ingredients:
2 cups butter, softened |
1 cup icing sugar |
2 tablespoons water |
4 teaspoons vanilla extract |
4 cups all-purpose flour |
2 cups chopped nuts (pecans are good) |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar together. 2. Add water and vanilla to the mixture. 3. Gradually add flour, fold in nuts. 4. Roll dough into 1 inch balls. 5. Place on ungreased baking sheets and flatten with fingers. 6. Bake at 300 F for 20-25 minutes. 7. Cool on a wire rack. |
