THIS IS A MOIST CAKE, IF YOU LIKE LEMON AND MELLO- YELLO YOU GOT IT MADE, remember the song...........................they call it mello-yellooooooooooooo...................
Ingredients:
1 -1/2 cups crisco
3 cups plain flour
1 cup mello -yello
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon lemon
3 cups sugar
5 eggs
Directions:
1. LET THE EGGS AND MELLO YELLOW SIT OUT UNTIL THEY REACH ROOM TEMP.
2. PREHEAT OVEN TO 325 DEGREES F.
3. IN A LARGE MIXING BOWL, CREAM TOGETHER THE SHORTENING,AND SUGAR UNTIL LIGHT AND FLUFFY.
4. ADD EGGS ONE AT A TIME, BEATING WELL AFTER EACH ADDITION.
5. ADD FLOUR AND MELLO-YELLO- ALTERNATELY STARTING WITH AND ENDING WITH THE FLOUR.
6. ADD THE FLAVORINGS. POUR INTO A GREASED AND FLOURED BUNDT PAN.......
7. BAKE AT 325 DEGREES FOR 1- 1/2 HOURS .. .... COOL AND SERVE
