Ingredients:
1/2 cup lemon juice |
1/2 cup olive oil |
1/4 cup dry red wine |
2 shallots, minced |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
2 tablespoons chopped fresh marjoram |
2 teaspoons hot sauce |
1 (1 3/4-pound) flank steak |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Combine first 7 ingredients in a shallow dish or large heavy-duty zip-top plastic bag; add flank steak. Cover or seal, and chill 8 hours, turning steak occasionally. 2. Remove steak from marinade, discarding marinade. Sprinkle steak with salt and pepper. 3. Grill, covered with grill lid, over medium-high heat (350° to 400°) 4 to 6 minutes on each side or to desired degree of doneness. Let stand 5 minutes. 4. Cut steak diagonally across the grain into thin strips. |
