This is a very tasty spaghetti sauce that is very easy to make. The recipe is pretty meaty but can be adjusted either way to fit your tastes. The sauce can be frozen. Ingredients:
1 cup yellow onion (sliced) |
4 tablespoons olive oil |
2 lbs ground beef |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
2 lbs canned tomatoes (4 cups) |
16 ounces tomato sauce |
12 ounces tomato paste |
1/4 cup parsley |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 cup water |
Directions:
1. heat olive oil in skillet. 2. add onions and saute until transparent 3. add ground beef and garlic powder - cook until meat is browned. 4. drain fat. 5. dump all ingredients including meat and onions into a large saucepan. 6. simmer uncovered for 2 hours. 7. serve with your favorite pasta. |
