Ok, I found this, an old newspaper clipping, in an old recipe box, given to me by a friend. I have not tried it yet, but it does sound interesting especially with the horseradish. Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef |
1/2 cup onion, chopped |
2 cups soft breadcrumbs |
1/4 cup green pepper, minced |
2 tablespoons bottled horseradish |
2 teaspoons salt |
1/4 cup milk |
1/4 cup catsup |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
2 eggs, beaten |
1/2 cup catsup |
Directions:
1. In large bowl, combine beef, onion, bread crumbs, pepper, horseradish, salt, milk, catsup and mustard. 2. Stir in eggs and mix well. 3. Place into a loaf pan. 4. Top with catsup, spreading evenly. 5. Bake at 400°F for about 45 minutes. 6. Cool slightly before cutting. |
