This is a meatloaf that I found in a cookbook and made some changes to. My husband says it reminds him of his grandmothers. Ingredients:
8 slices bacon |
2 lbs ground beef |
1 lb pork sausage |
1/2 cup fine breadcrumbs |
2 eggs, slightly beaten |
2 cloves garlic, minced |
Directions:
1. Line loaf pan with bacon. 2. Mix all the rest of the ingredients together. 3. Place mixture into bacon-lined loaf pan. 4. Bake for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours in a 350 degree oven. 5. Baste the meatloaf occasionally with the drippings. |
