This is my grandmother's recipe for meatloaf. It's the only kind of meatloaf I will eat. I love to make meatloaf sandwiches with it the next day - they are even good cold. Ingredients:
1 1/4 lbs ground beef |
1 package lipton onion soup mix |
8 ounces tomato sauce |
1 egg |
1 cup old fashioned oats, uncooked |
2 slices bacon, uncooked (optional) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350*. 2. Mix egg, dried onion soup, tomato sauce and oatmeal together in a large bowl. 3. Add in ground beef. 4. For best results, use your hands. 5. Put meatloaf mixture in a loaf pan. 6. Place bacon on top. 7. Cook for 50 minutes to 1 hour. 8. Let meatloaf sit for 5 minutes. 9. Remove from pan and slice to serve. |
