Meatballs With Dill Sauce |

These make teriffic appetizers. Or serve them over rice for a meal. Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef |
2 eggs, beaten |
1 cup half-and-half |
1/2 cup soft breadcrumbs |
2 tablespoons minced onions |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1/4 cup butter |
1/4 cup flour |
2 teaspoons dill weed |
2 cups beef broth |
1 cup plain yogurt |
Directions:
1. Mix all meatball ingredients well. 2. Shape into 1-1/2 inch balls. 3. Place on rack in roasting pan. 4. Bake at 400* for 15 minutes. 5. Dill Sauce: Melt butter in saucepan. 6. Stir in flour and salt. 7. Slowly add broth. 8. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened. 9. Remove from heat; add yogurt. 10. Reheat; stirring; do not boil. |
