I came across this recipe and thought I would post it. I have not made it but it did sound good. Ingredients:
meatballs |
1 lb hamburger |
1/2 cup breadcrumbs |
1/4 cup onion, diced |
1/2 cup whole milk |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
3 tablespoons butter |
buttermilk, sauce |
1/4 cup butter |
1/4 cup flour |
2 1/4 cups buttermilk |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard |
1 egg, beaten |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Combine all meatball ingredients 2. except butter. 3. Shape into balls. 4. Brown in the butter. 5. Remove from skillet. 6. Keep warm. 7. Pour most of grease from skillet. 8. Combine all the sauce ingredients to make gravy. 9. when thick. 10. add meatballs 11. simmer until flavors are blended. |
