Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
3/4 lb ground pork |
1/2 cup salsa (mild, medium or hot) |
1 egg |
1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs |
1 garlic clove, minced |
1 teaspoon dried basil |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 tablespoon brown sugar |
1/3 cup ketchup |
1/2 cup salsa |
Directions:
1. Combine all the ingredients for the meatballs and mix thoroughly. 2. Shape into 1-1/2-inch balls. 3. Place on a foil lined cookie sheet and bake at 400°F for 12-15 minutes. 4. Drain well on paper towel! 5. Meanwhile heat sauce ingredients in a large frying pan, stirring to mix; add meatballs and toss to coat; simmer covered for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. |
