Meatball .... Giant Meatball Sandwich |

This is a hungry man's dream.It's a row of meatballs smothered in spaghetti sauce and cheese. Ingredients:
1 lb ground chuck |
1/2 lb pork sausage |
2 cups spaghetti sauce with peppers and mushrooms |
1 garlic clove, minced |
1 loaf italian bread |
6 ounces sliced provolone cheese |
Directions:
1. Combine ground chuck and sausage, shape into 1 meatballs. Cook meatballs in a large skillet over medium heat for 8-10 minutes or until browned. Drain meatballs on paper towel, discard drippings. 2. Combine meatballs, spaghetti sauce and garlic in skillet. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer uncovered 12-15 minutes, stir occasionally. 3. While the sauce is simmering, slice bread in half horizontally. Place bread, cut side up on a baking sheet. Broil 5 1/2 from heat 1-2 minutes and is lightly toasted. 4. Spoon meatball mixture over bottom half of toasted bread, arrange cheese on top of meatballs. Cover with top of bread. Cut sandwich into 6 pieces; serve hot. |
