I've never been a big meat loaf fan, so I recently decided to experiment by creating my own recipe. Hmmmm? What does everybody like? Pizza, of course. It was a no-brainer - I decided to make Meat-Za Loaf. The first attempt was a huge success. There were rave reviews from adult family members and lots of yum-yums from the little ones. Ingredients:
2 cups italian croutons, crushed |
2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans tomato soup |
2 teaspoons oregano |
2 teaspoons peppery mustard, grill creations |
2 tablespoons mixed italian herbs, grill creations |
2 tablespoons dehydrated onion |
2 teaspoons minced garlic, ready to use |
2 eggs, beaten |
1 lb ground beef |
1 lb pork sausage |
1 lb ground turkey |
6 slices bacon |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine first 8 ingredients and mix well. Add beef, sausage, and turkey. Work mixture by hand until it is well-blended. Shape into 2 loaves and place in loaf pans. Top with bacon strips. Bake in 375 degree oven for about 1 1/4 hours. Check middle for doneness, and let stand for about 10 minutes before slicing. |
