Ingredients:
6 pound(s) ground chuck |
4 pound(s) bulk breakfast sausage |
5 cup(s) long grain rice uncooked |
4 cup(s) chopped green onions |
salt |
pepper |
poultry seasoning |
sage |
Directions:
1. Meat mixture: 2. In a large stock pot, brown bulk breakfast sausage & ground chuck 3. Add salt, pepper, poultry seasoning & sage to taste 4. DO NOT drain excess fat 5. Rice: 6. {Hint: 1 cup uncooked rice equals 3 cups cooked rice} 7. In large stock pot, bring 10 cups of water to rolling boil 8. Add salt to taste 9. Add uncooked long grain rice, stir, cover & cook for 15 minutes 10. Remove from heat & let stand for 5 minutes 11. In large stock pot, combine meat mixture, rice & green onions 12. Taste & add additional seasonings as necessary 13. Stuff turkey with meat stuffing and cook according to manufacturers directions; or place meat stuffing in aluminum roasting pan, cover with aluminum foil, and bake at 350 for 1 hour |
