Boasting just the right number of shortcuts, this saucy pasta dish should prove to be a keeper around your house. A tossed green salad is a great beginning. Ingredients:
1/2 pound ground round |
1/2 cup commercial pizza sauce |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon black pepper |
1 cup hot cooked elbow macaroni (about 2 ounces uncooked) |
2 tablespoons (about 1/2 ounce) shredded reduced-fat sharp cheddar cheese |
Directions:
1. Cook meat in a small nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until browned, stirring to crumble. Drain. Wipe drippings from pan with a paper towel; return meat to pan. Add sauce, salt, and pepper; cook 2 minutes. Add pasta; cook 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Sprinkle each serving with 1 tablespoon cheese. |
