K(Q)eema (or minced meat) is a traditional dish of South Asia. It is typically minced-lamb curry with peas or potatoes. Qeema can be made from almost any meat with beef being the most common type in Pakistan and, can be cooked by stewing or frying, and can be formed into kababs. Read more . It is also used as a filling for samosas or Keema Naan or Pita bread . Ingredients:
a ) 250 gm minced meat ( beef , mutton or chicken ) or |
2 tsp ginger and garlic paste |
2 tbsp meat curry powder |
1 tsp corriander pwd |
1/2 tsp chilli pwd |
1 1/2 tsp stock pwd |
pinch of tumeric |
b ) 1 potato , cubed |
1 onion , cubed |
2 tomatoes , chopped |
1/2 c peas |
( for vegetable kheema add 100 g red and yellow peppers ) |
1 green chilli |
few mint leaves |
pinch of cumin seeds |
Directions:
1. Combine A ) with half cup of water 2. Fry the onion and chilli . 3. Add the A ) 4. Stir fry for 5 mins 5. Add potatoes , peppers and boil 6. Cover and cook for 10 mins 7. Finally , add the peas , mint leaves and cumin 8. Season with salt 9. Mix well and Serve |
