Meat Balls In Buttermilk Sauce

This is very good.... The extra gravy is good to spoon over baked potatoes....
Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
3 tablespoons chopped green pepper
1/3 cup diced celery
1 cup cooked rice
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 egg
1 (10 1/2 oz) can mushroom soup
1 soup can of buttermilk
1 (2 oz) can mushroom stems and pieces
Directions:
1. Put the ground beef, onion, green pepper, celery, rice, salt, pepper, and egg into a large bowl. Work together with hands until well mixed.
