Really simple recipe that even pleases the non fish lovers among us! My favorite fish to use is tilapia, but any mild, white fish will work nicely. Ingredients:
4 fish fillets, about 1 pound |
1/3 cup mayonnaise |
3 tablespoons butter, melted |
1/3 cup onion, finely diced |
1/4 cup parmesan cheese or 1/4 cup romano cheese, grated |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
1/2 teaspoon old bay seasoning |
1/4 teaspoon black pepper |
1/2 cup breadcrumbs |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F. 2. Place fish, in a lightly greased 9x13 baking dish. 3. In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, butter, onion, cheese, lemon juice, Old Bay, and pepper. Mix until a thick paste is formed. 4. Spread mixture evenly over fish filets, then top with bread crumbs. 5. Bake for about 10 minutes, or until fish is flaky. 6. To finish cooking, place fish under the broiler, for another 2-3 minutes, or until fish is golden brown. |
