Ingredients:
1 tablespoon(s) all-purpose flour |
1/4 teaspoon(s) allspice |
5 cup(s) apple slices (i prefer fuji) |
2 tablespoon(s) butter |
1/2 teaspoon(s) cinnamon |
juice of 1/2 a lemon |
1/4 teaspoon(s) nutmeg |
1/2 cup(s) sugar |
1 unbaked double pie crust (8 ) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400F. Roll our bottom half of pie crust and line an 8" pie plate. Place the apple slices in a large bowl. Add the sugar, flour, nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon and lemon juice. Toss on until well combined. Spoon into unbaked pie crust and dot with butter. Set top half over fruit. Crimp edges with fingers or press tines of a fork around edges to seal. Cut slits in the crust (in whatever size/pattern you prefer). Bake pie for 40 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown. |
