Basically eaten during Passover, but we eat it year-round. Ingredients:
1 sheet matzohs |
1 egg |
butter |
1 teaspoon brown sugar |
1 pinch cinnamon |
hot water |
Directions:
1. Break matzos in a large bowl. 2. Pour hot water over them. 3. After a couple of minutes, pour and squeeze out the surplus water. 4. Add cinnamon and egg and mix well. 5. Melt a little butter in a frying pan. 6. Make small flat cakes of the mixture in the butter. 7. Flip them when it starts getting crusty underneath. 8. Cook through until well done but still soft. 9. Serve immediately, with brown sugar sprinkled on top. |
