From The Jewish Mama's Kitchen Ingredients:
1 cup matzo meal |
2 tablespoons ground almonds |
2 tablespoons chicken fat or 2 tablespoons vegetable oil |
1 large egg |
kosher salt |
pepper |
2 cups chicken soup or 2 cups broth |
Directions:
1. Mix together all ingredients. 2. With wet hands, form small balls from dough. Refridgerate, freeze or use immediately. 3. Drop dumplings into simmering soup and cook for 15 minutes. If using frozen dumplings, let thaw for 15 minutes first. |
