Positively scrumptious! Makes a great gift. Matcha powder can be substituted with powdered chai tea mix, bothe are fabulous! Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1/4 cup granulated sugar |
1/4 cup confectioners' sugar |
1 tablespoon green tea powder (matcha) |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
1 teaspoon water |
1/2 cup butter, cubed (unsalted is reccomended, if using salted, omit the salt in the recipe.) |
1/2-1 cup sugar, for coating |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven at 375. 2. Blend all dry ingredients. 3. Add vanilla, water, and butter, mix until dough forms. 4. Roll cookies into 1 inches balls, coat in sugar. 5. Flatten each cookie with a glass coated in sugar (for spherical cookies, skip this step). 6. Bake 12 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Allow 5 minutes to cool before transferring to wire racks. |
