Different version of sweet potatoes. These can be made ahead and reheated. Ingredients:
6 sweet potatoes |
6 tablespoons cream |
1 tsp. cinnamon |
1 tsp. nutmeg |
1/2 cup butter |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1/2 cup pecans |
Directions:
1. Peel and cut sweet potatoes 2. Boil until tender draining water off. 3. Mash adding in cream, cinnamon and nutmeg. 4. Place in a greased rectangular pyrex dish. 5. In a saucepan mix butter and brown sugar on low heat until butter is just melted (not boiling). 6. Pour over top of sweet potatoes add pecans and cover in fridge. 7. To reheat place in oven at 350 degrees until top is bubbling. Remove and serve. 8. Made these with turkey dinner....they were a hit! Enjoy! |
