In 'Saving Dinner' by Leanne Ely Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground turkey |
2 carrots, grated |
1 onion, chopped fine |
1/2 cup italian seasoned breadcrumbs |
1 egg |
1/2 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
salt |
pepper |
1 lb hash brown, frozen |
1 tablespoon butter, melted |
3/4 cup low-fat cheddar cheese, shredded |
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°. 2. In a big bowl, combine the first 8 ingredients; mix gently but well. 3. In a 10-inch pie plate, press turkey mixture evenly into the bottom and up the sides of the pie plate to fashion a shell. 4. Top with hash browns and drizzle with melted butter. 5. Bake 40 minutes or until meat is thoroughly cooked; top with cheese and bake 5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. |
