Mascarpone Swirled Brownies |

From Food and Wine. I had to freeze since hubby's nose was getting to close to these beautiful looking, chocolately cheese filled brownies. Phot forthcoming Ingredients:
2/3 cup flour |
1/2 tsp baking powder |
1/4 tsp salt |
4 oz semi sweet choclate chopped |
2 oz bittersweet choclate chopped |
1 stick butter softened |
1 cup sugar |
1 tbs pure vanilla |
2 large eggs |
swirl filling |
8 oz mascarpone cheese |
1/4 cup sugar |
1 egg yolk |
1/2 tsp vanilla |
Directions:
1. Combine flour, baking powder, salt 2. Melt butter with chocolates ( I use my micro for this ) 3. Remove from heat when melted and stir smooth 4. Whisk in the sugar and vanilla. 5. Then blend in the eggs one at a time 6. Stir flour mixture into choclate mixture to combine well. 7. In separate bowl mix cheese with remaining ingredients till smooth. 8. In a buttered 9 inch sqaure baking pan pour in half brownie batter. 9. Then add spoonfuls of half cheese mixture over then add remaining brownie batter then again dollop remianing cheese mixrute over. 10. With a knife swirl cheese and chocolate mixture to marbelize 11. Bake brownies in a preheated 325 oven about 55 minutes or cake tester comes out from center with a few moist crumbs attached 12. Cool completely before cutting 13. I had to freeze mine before hubby 's nose got to close from inhaling in the brownies!!! |
