This is a great substitute Ingredients:
3 egg yolks |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/3 cup half-and-half cream |
1 (15 ounce) container ricotta cheese |
1 cup heavy whipping cream, whipped (35%, measure 1 cup after whipping) |
Directions:
1. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan whisk egg yolks, sugar and cream; simmer over low heat for 2-3 minutes then cool. 2. Fold in ricotta cheese and whipped cream until blended. |
