If you are looking for a non-cheesecakey mascarpone substitute, this is defiantly the way to go Ingredients:
3 egg yolks |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/3 cup milk |
1 (15 ounce) container ricotta cheese |
1 cup heavy cream |
Directions:
1. Whisk egg yolks, sugar, and milk-simmer 2-3 minutes. Cool, and fold in ricotta cheese. In a separate bowl whip the heavy cream until it peaks. Add whipped heavy cream and milk mixture in a food processor until it forms a homogeneous cream. |
