This was another recipe that helped Mary stretch the hamburger. Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef |
1 cup green pepper, chopped |
1 cup celery, chopped |
1 cup onion, chopped |
2 cups barbecue sauce |
2 cups water |
1 cup quick oats |
2 tablespoons flour |
1 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Combine beef, green pepper, celery and onion in skillet and cook until meat is browned. Drain off excess fat. 2. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 35 minute Serve hot on buns. |
