This is a favorite crab cake recipe that I happen to love. As I definitely can't get crabcakes eating out in England if I want a reminder of home this is the recipe for me. It is very quick to make and they have a delicious flavor. Ingredients:
1 pound crabmeat |
1 cup of italian bread crumbs or freshly ground |
1 large egg |
1/4 cup mayonnaise |
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
salt - dash |
pepper - dash |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
oil for frying |
Directions:
1. Mix the crab meat, bread crumbs, egg, mayonnaise, and seasonings. 2. Mix gently but thoroughly. 3. Shape into 6 cakes. 4. Cook cakes in frying pan with just enough oil to prevent sticking. 5. Cook until browned, about 5 minutes per side. 6. Season lightly with salt and pepper. |
