Maryann's Italian Pork Chops

My mother came across this recipe years ago. I recently found it again and tried it. Still as good as it was back then. You may want to add more Green Pepper and Onion because they are so good.
Ingredients:
6 pork chops or 6 pork steak
1 tablespoon butter
1 large green pepper, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic clove
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
1/4 cup chicken broth
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon parsley or 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
salt & pepper
Directions:
1. Brown Pork Chops in butter and remove to a shallow 2 1/2 quart pan.
2. Add Green Pepper, Onion and Garlic to pan and cook till just tender.
3. Add remaining ingredients to skillet and stir to blend.
4. Top Pork Chops with vegetable mixture and bake covered at 350 degrees for 45 - 50 minutes.
5. Serve with rice.
