Mary was a family friend. She's been around along as I can remember. This was her concoction. Its good served over rice. Prep time includes boiling the chicken. This is also good with leftover turkey. Ingredients:
2 whole chickens |
2 cups chopped celery |
1/2 cup sliced almonds |
1 cup chopped onion |
1 cup miracle whip (can use mayo) |
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of chicken soup |
1/2-1 cup cheddar cheese |
2 cups crushed potato chips |
Directions:
1. Boil the chickens. 2. When cool enough to handle pull off the meat,discard bones. 3. Combine all ingredient except chips. 4. Pour into 13x9 inch pan,. 5. Sprinkle chips on top. 6. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes until bubbly. 7. Serve over rice. |
