Apple cider vinegar and dry mustard combine with white Cheddar cheese to give Mary Ann's Pimiento Cheese its zesty flavor. Ingredients:
1/2 cup mayonnaise |
3 (4-oz.) jars diced pimiento, drained |
1/4 cup sliced green onions |
1 tablespoon dry mustard |
1 1/2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
1 1/2 teaspoons hot sauce |
3/4 teaspoon celery seeds |
3/4 teaspoon apple cider vinegar |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
5 cups freshly grated white cheddar cheese (1 1/4 lb.) |
garnish: sliced green onions |
Directions:
1. Stir together mayonnaise, diced pimiento, 1/4 cup sliced green onions, dry mustard, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, celery seeds, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Stir in Cheddar cheese until well blended. Cover and chill 8 to 24 hours. Garnish, if desired. |
