This is a family favorite. Ingredients:
28 ounces diced tomatoes |
2 (16 ounce) cans tomato sauce |
1 1/2 lbs ground round |
1 bay leaf |
1/2 green pepper, chopped |
1/2 onion, chopped |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
1 teaspoon basil |
1 teaspoon oregano |
1 teaspoon italian seasoning |
1 teaspoon parsley |
4 ounces mushroom pieces |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
Directions:
1. Brown onions and peppers in olive oil. 2. Remove and add to crock pot. 3. Brown ground round and drain on paper towel. 4. Add to crock pot. 5. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and spices to crock pot. 6. Cook for 4 hours. 7. Add mushrooms. 8. Cook 2 additional hours. |
