Ingredients:
2 tablespoon(s) butter, divided use |
2 cup(s) chicken stock |
1 sprig(s) fresh thyme |
freshly cracked black pepper to taste |
1 clove(s) garlic |
kosher salt to taste |
6 ounce(s) marsala wine (3/4 cup) |
2 shallots |
Directions:
1. Roughly chop garlic and slice shallots. Saute in small amount (less than 1 tablespoon) of butter with the thyme. Deglaze with Marsala and reduce to a syrupy consistency. Add stock and simmer to reduce by half, or to desired thickness. Season with salt and pepper. Strain and return to pan. Whisk in remaining butter. |
