MARINATED TOMATOES This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Patrick Estate in Canton, Texas in 1981. Ingredients:
1/4 cup olive oil |
1/4 cup canola oil |
3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar |
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
1 tablespoon sweetener |
2 cloves garlic minced |
2 teaspoons basil chopped |
1/8 teaspoon thyme |
4 medium tomatoes sliced thin |
Directions:
1. Whisk together all ingredients except tomatoes in a small bowl. 2. Place the tomatoes in a container then pour marinade over. 3. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving. |
