A zesty and flavorful sidedish to add with just about any meal.I acquired this recipe some 30 years ago from a young German exchange student and have been serving it ever since. It is best served in summer when the tomatoes from your garden are in season. Best served at room temperature. Ingredients:
5 -6 ripe tomatoes |
1 small white onions or 1 small red onion |
3 tablespoons vinegar |
3 tablespoons oil |
salt & pepper |
Directions:
1. Wash and slice tomatoes into wedges. 2. Slice onions thinly over wedges. 3. add vinegar& oil, salt& pepper and let marinate for approximately 1/2 to 1 hour. |
