Ingredients:
2 1/2 quarts water |
3 pounds unpeeled, medium-size fresh shrimp |
2 small green bell peppers |
2 medium onions |
2 cups white vinegar |
1 1/2 cups ketchup |
1/2 cup vegetable oil |
1 tablespoon celery seeds |
1 1/2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon hot sauce |
Directions:
1. Bring 2 1/2 quarts water to a boil; add shrimp, and cook 3 to 5 minutes or just until shrimp turn pink. Drain; rinse with cold water. Peel shrimp, and devein, if desired. 2. Cut bell peppers and onions into strips. Place in a zip-top plastic bag; add shrimp. Combine vinegar and next 5 ingredients; pour over shrimp mixture. Seal bag, and chill 8 hours, turning occasionally. |
