This is an easy Japanese dish to prepare, one of my Asian students gave this recipe to me after preparing it for a cultural luncheon. Ingredients:
2 salmon fillets |
4 cm piece frensh ginger, grated |
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped |
3 spring onions, finely chopped |
1 teaspoon sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 tablespoons japanese soy sauce |
1/2 cup sake |
Directions:
1. Cut the salmon into thin strips, and arrange them in a single layer in a large deep dish. 2. Place the ginger, garlic, spring onion, sugar, salt, soy sauce, and sake in a small bowl and stir to combine. Pour the marinade over the salmon, cover and refrigerate for 1 hour. 3. Arrange the salmon, strip by strip on a serving plate. 4. NOTE: prep time does not include 1 hour marinating time. |
