Ingredients:
6 cups thinly sliced walla walla or other sweet onion (about 2 large) |
2 cups thinly sliced peeled english cucumber (about 2 cucumbers) |
3/4 cup white vinegar |
2/3 cup sugar |
1/2 cup water |
1 tablespoon salt |
1 teaspoon dried dill |
Directions:
1. Combine onion and cucumber in a large bowl. Combine vinegar and remaining ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil; cook 1 minute or until sugar dissolves, stirring occasionally. Pour hot vinegar mixture over onion mixture, tossing to coat. Cover and chill at least 8 hours or overnight. |
