This brings a whole new flavor to cheese....From a friend Ingredients:
1 lb. monterey jack or provolone cheese, cut into chunks |
1/2 cup olive oil |
1 1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind |
1/4 cup lemon juice, fresh |
3 cloves garlic, minced |
1 1/2 tsp. tri color peppercorns, crushed |
*1 tsp. fennel for provolone cheese |
* 1 tsp. cumin for monterey jack |
(i've also used crushed mustard seeds with both cheeses) |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients except the cheese 2. Add cheese to mixture 3. Let set for a couple hoursin fridge for flavors to marry 4. Serve at room temperature |
