MARINATED CARROTS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Garza Estate in Royse City, Texas in 1994. Ingredients:
1 cup granulated sugar |
3/4 cup white vinegar |
1/2 cup vegetable oil |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
1 can tomato soup |
2 pounds carrots |
1 small jar pearl onions |
1 bell pepper sliced |
Directions:
1. Combine sugar, vinegar, oil, mustard and soup in sauce pan. 2. Bring to boil and let simmer 4 minutes then take off heat and cool completely. 3. Peel and slice carrots and cook until tender then drain and combine all ingredients. |
