Ingredients:
1 1/2 ounces tequila |
1 1/2 ounces fresh lime juice |
1 ounce simple syrup |
salt, for the glass (optional) |
fresh mint, for garnish |
Directions:
1. Combine the tequila, lime juice and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice. (To make a batch of simple syrup, simmer equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan until the sugar dissolves, then cool.) Shake well, then strain into a chilled martini glass; salt the rim, if desired. Garnish with mint. 2. Photograph by Mark Peterson |
