Very good cake. Very pretty when sliced and presented. Ingredients:
2 cups sugar |
1 cup oil |
4 eggs |
1 cup water (or juice) |
3 cups flour |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
3 teaspoons baking powder |
3 teaspoons cocoa |
Directions:
1. Cream sugar and oil together. 2. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each one. 3. Add liquid alternately with the flour. 4. Add the salt, baking powder, and vanilla. 5. Preheat oven to 325. 6. Pour all but 1/4 of the batter into a greased 9 x 13 pan. 7. Add cocoa to remaining batter. 8. Then pour into white mixture and cut with knife a few times. 9. Do not stir. 10. Bake for 50 minutes. |
