MAPLE WALNUT BREAD This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Hamilton Estate in Terrell, Texas in 1982. Ingredients:
1-1/4 cups water |
1/4 cup maple syrup |
1/4 teaspoon maple extract |
1-1/2 teaspoons salt |
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1 tablespoon butter |
3 cups bread flour |
1/4 cup whole wheat flour |
1/2 cup walnuts coarsely chopped |
1-1/2 teaspoons rapid rise yeast |
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients in bread machine then program for basic cycle and desired crust setting. 2. Press start and when complete remove from pan and cool on rack. |
